Always Stay True to Your Heart

Today I had a wonderful conversation with a dear family friend of mine about our positive psychology practices. I had mentioned that I #carrorized myself with a long walk by the lake, I made sure to drink as much water as possible until I knew for certain that I was hydrated (clear urine is the goal), I purchased some sun choke, a root vegetable, that contains probiotics for optimum gut health, and I finally made time to clip my cat’s nails which requires patients due to the snuggle induced coma that I need to put him in first! As a retired man, my friend told me that he has more time on his hand to contemplate what’s important in life. He said he realized that his heart is his strength and to always stand by it. So one of his personal positive psychology practices, which I think is absolutely beautiful because of it’s practicality, is that he places a heart shaped stone on his stairs and then does 10 reps of stairs making sure not to step on the heart. So to my intrigue I asked what the significance was and how did he come up with that? He said I know my heart is my strength and I don't want to step on it, symbolically speaking he doesn’t want to get in the way of his own heart’s desires. WoW!! What a great reminder and practical positive practice to always stay true to your heart! For some of us, cleaning the house, making that long overdue phone call to a friend, or taking time for a relaxing bath, are small but impactful ways that we can carrorize ourselves. The conscious actions of kindness we do for ourselves and others creates a ripple effect that positively impacts the entire planet’s vibration! Keep on #carrorizing
